This is a teaching and display space for Bruce Bannerman and the Institute for Aesthetics and Natural History in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Images, of natural landscape and found and made patterns, are showing here. We have about 85 pieces at the moment.

The work is about our perceptions in those times in nature and in the making and finding of patterns in art, when the personhood lifts beyond its ordinary, when feeling occurs, what the surfers might call "epic" perception. Can the circumstances of epic perceptions be found and built and seen so that others can see, can have them also? Can epic experience have a more general existence in the life of the ordinary world? Of course yes. In spite of the unending challenges of conditions of the world, rare things are possible. We seek rarity; we attempt to hold it, and attempt to show it and build it.

The home page has Category links on the left side which will lead to topics for painting and photography. Each of those pages has subsections with a number of thumbnail images. These open pages with enlarged images (loading in 5-20 seconds on slow connections) with a salient statements or two, and ordering menus and instructions if you want to acquire a print.
